" Very dated hotel. I wish it were cleaner and better-managed. All the chairs inside except the lobby were so old and uncomfortable that I would not want to come back. The pancakes my hubby ordered were so hard that he couldn’t cut it with his knife. The soup was good though. It looks way staler than the pics do. "

" Overall, the hotel is ok and the staff are attentive. Just that the hotel is quite old, the swimming pool seems not very clean. The toilet inside the rooms are quite dated and no separate shower stall. We stayed at the club floor and it's facing to the pool view with a balcony. However, we're woken up by the morning prayers at 430am everyday and it's very loud. The food at the club lounge offered limited choices but it's ok. Their high tea starts from 5pm to 8pm and we enjoy our time spent at the lounge because we only paid US$75 pe room night. One thing to note is that if you stay at the club floor, you can only have breakfast at the club lounge and not at the hotel restaurant. "

" We were so kindly upgraded to the presidential suite which was really spacious and had wonderful views of the gardens /pool. The hotel grounds are gorgeous and very zen. The pool hidden in the spa is pretty as well!
18 March 2018Staff were so nice and friendly (they went out of their way running all over to find change for my grab driver, although it really wasn’t their responsibility to have petty cash at hand, some of them even took out their own money to help!).
there was even soya milk at the cafe in the hotel. Breakfast is amazing and huge spread (all types of Indonesian rice and noodles, fresh juice, egg station, breads, etc.) although as with most places in Yogyakarta, air conditioning is always a challenge.
If I was really picky, the room decor is rather dated and some parts of the grounds can be better maintained. "

" Hospitality = excellent. Just one thing, that i hate, = stair from motor parking to the lobby floor. Its scary, its like unsafe and moving every we step on it. Too high. Why don't make an easy way, elevator will be perfect. Or because motor driver is not welcome stay in hotel? "

" Nice facilities, nice service, nice stay. If you like more traditional luxury hotel rather than modern and minimalist one, this is the right place to stay. They need some improvements in some facilities to maintain the good condition of the hotel though. Try lagoon room, it's so nice. I was quite lucky to be able to see Merapi view from the resto during breakfast. The pool is very nice, it imitates bathing pools for ancient princesses. the spa is also very unique, it has its own pool which is full of Javanese culture ambiance. Good thing is this hotel is very close to the airport. "

The outdoor pool is the best, you can imagine yourself swim as a javanese royal family, the ambient is so good even for relax yourself from crowded traffic in jogja.. " We try to come here every year. And last time, we saw the hotel looked so old because of the paint. But this year the hotel has been repainted. And I have to say, it looks a lot better. We love the staff. We experience a little bit of a delay during check-in but they wrote an apology and send some nice home made chocolates with compliments of the hotel. That really impressed us! Next time we will come again, and we highly recommend this hotel to everybody. "

" The architecture is so unique I couldn't decide if it was a swimming pool or a fish pond. They should choose bright ceramics rather than green dark stone they used for the pool wall. Beside, the pool water was quite dirty, looks it never been cleaned for months. But hey, I guess it's why they said it's a unique architecture. "

" Good view of Mt. Merapi. As expected, resort has a sprawling area with relaxing options like the Lily Pond. You can do your laps in the indoor swimming pool, if you don't fancy the pond. Closer to the Prambanan Temple and Mt. Merapi tours. Breakfast wasn't that great, unfortunately. Suko wine bar has a decent collection - they allow indoor smoking (FYI for non smokers). "

" Just spent 3 nights there and that's great experience! Free shuttle to Malioboro and they event dropped me off at Plaza Ambarrukmo. Also free shuttle service to the airport! Nice view and very closed to the airport! But it's but too far away from the street foods! Overall is good! "
