We had started from our hotel about 3.45 am. And get the Sunrise pass thru the Hotel Manohara in Borobudur. Ticket Cost around 2,00,000 rupiah per person. Reached the top around 4.30 AM. It was a Pleasant and Nice experience to see the Sunrise from Borobudur. The Golden Sunrise, it was a great opportunity to see sunrise and explore such an Great architectural in the years of 8th Century. Completely maintained by the UNESCO. Please come with a Guide who will Explain all the Histories of the Borobudur. It will Cost around USD$ 30 "

" If you happen to be in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, you have to go there for sunrise. Personally, it's worth to visit. Heading to Borobudur temple from Yogyakarta at 4 AM (yes, very early morning) for 1,5 hour, and arrive there at 5.30. It was dry season, so the sunrise shining so brightly, clearly, arose between Mt Merapi and Mt Merbabu. This biggest Buddhist temple in the universe is surrounding by villages and green view, with misty, foggy morning. It was so quite, very peaceful, and amazing to see the sunrise between the mysterious stupas. So emotional. It was one of best sunrise I've ever had. The ticket is very costly (450k for foreigner and 325k for local), but I think it's worth. In the end of the tour, you can enjoy coffee, tea, and local snack/ dessert like fried banana. For once a lifetime experience ! "
