Santo Thomas Catholic University North Sumatra [abbreviated UNIKA Santo Thomas SU] was founded in 24 April 1984 on Jl. S. Parman 107, Medan. In the first decade, UNIKA's growth and development was very fast, so it needed a new, wider campus location. In 1994, the new campus at Tanjung Sari Medan was inaugurated and all Teaching, Research, and Community Service activities were centered and designed at the Tanjung Sari campus. For the Faculty of Philosophy, a new campus was opened in Pematang Siantar, precisely in Sinaksak which is also a place for the education of prospective Catholic priests.Vision: To become an innovative, humanist, cultured international university based on Pancasila and Christian values.Mission:1.
