" There are lots of choices of kuih which have shown on the menu. But when I went there, I'm so disappointed because it left less choices. The kuih is good, but for me, KL better. "

" Delicious stop recommended by family.. so glad we were able to visit. We filled up on all our childhood favourites and more. Huge range of baba nonya cakes and the onde-onde especially was juicy, soft, and incredibly more-ish! "

" I would say decent and satisfactory as I prefer nyonya kuih at Penang. But worth a visit. "

" Real authentic Nyonya kuehs! Very lemak! Cheaper than most places. You will tend to buy too much here. My advice is don't keep overnight if you want that same good tastes! Ha ha! "

" I always feel like a kid walking into a toy store every time i visit this place. There's alot to choose from and i'm often surprised with the flavor. "

" The Baba Charlie Nyonya Cake shop has a restaurant that sells peranakan dishes.
10 April 2018Within the restaurant, there is a corner selling Nyonya kueh (sweet delights). The assortment is pretty comprehensive and all looked very appealing. In comparison with some of the kuehs which I have eaten, I would say that the taste would be in the "okay" category. Not exactly fantastic but will make do if one is craving for Nyonya kueh.
Food wise, the Kueh Pie Tee is not bad but the Chendol lacks the "omph" in comparison to some of the Chendols which I have tasted in other parts of Malaysia. "

" Sells baba nyonya delicacies. Love the angko kuih, kuih cang, ketayap. They open from 11 to 3 pm. But they cafe open from 11.30am to 9pm. "

" Very organised now the way customers are quickly attended to when it comes to payment. Still good variety of Nyonya kuih to satisfy us deprived tourists. Clean premises a bonus although parking is limited. "

" Huge selection of kuih, alot of tourists now, u can drive into the alley, and before reaching, turn right at the junction, they have prepared a car park there, price is normal, not really cheap, but kuih is fresh and taste good "

" Wide assortment of kuih, great if you're not yet that familiar with them and want to try as many types as possible.
13 February 2018Can't really give an informed opinion on the quality, but I enjoyed most of them; seemed perhaps a bit fattier than others I've tasted, but that could also be because instead of eating them as they were served, these are take-away and we only ate them about an hour and a half later.
The tray full of kuih in the picture below came to 23 or 24rm or so. "

" Small shop. But kuih are delicious. Worth to try. "

" The original house where most of the kuehs are being made is a little difficult to locate as the directional sign is a little small.
18 November 2017But the range of nyonya kuehs at the place greatly outweighs that small inconvenience.
For those visiting for the first time, look out for a red signing with "Baba Charlie" written on it and it is located at slightly above eye level. "

" We went there slightly earlier than their business hour and they were already open. Great variety of nyonya kuih available. Very fresh and the taste was superb. Nyonya kaya and yam cake were good too. Will definitely return if I go to Malacca again. Highly recommended. "

" One of the best Nyonya outlets for kuih and delicacies. Not all are suited to our taste, however one of the must come joint to patronize. You will be in love with their presentation and colors! "

" The que for the onde-onde and ketayap. Very fresh & tasty but not the price. 3pc ketayap for RM4 exc gst is not cheap. "
01 September 2017Nicholas Lee
" Great place for Nyonya Kuih and other snacks. The line is usually for their onde-onde but it's worth the wait! Parking can be difficult and the roads going in are narrow. "
01 September 2017Jacqueline Toolseram
" The place has a nostalgic feeling with wooden panel wall and zinc roof.Lots of delicious ,aromatic and colourful nyonya kuih😍.. lost for choice😅The only set back is very hot and humid inside. Lucky thing they've many fans and two huge cool air fan on the ground. "

" The outlet is tucked somewhere along the "2C" street/ lane, we had to make a few rounds and asked many locals for direction but it was all worth it!!
04 August 2017The kuehs are fresh and nice! We are coming back for more tml before we leave Malacca! "

" The variety of freshly baked/cooked ťhat is available at affordable prices... "
02 July 2017Siru Chen
" Ondeh ondeh done to perfection. The skin was soft and thin, and the gula melaka inside was runny with just a smidge of unmelted sugar to give that crunch. The taste was well balanced, not too sweet with a touch of savoury. I polished off an entire box without feeling gelat. Sedap! "
24 June 2017Martin Tan
" A nondescript place in the middle of a housing estate that sells authentic Nyonya kueh. Be prepared to wait and queue as there's quite a crowd. Parking is available but the roads are narrow and only passable by cars. Buses will not be able to get through! "
05 June 2017Judy Chan
" It is easy to reach and the parking places are provided. The food is delicious 😍😍😍 You must try the nyonya popiah and nyonya pai tee. It is awesome. There are locally made kuih. "
08 May 2017Lynette Ho
" As 1/2 Nyonya having grown up on the best cooking, I will say that this is the real deal! "
24 April 2017Isaac Cheah
" Best onde onde ever. Must be eaten while still piping hot. Careful of bringing it back as a souvenier as it spoils very quickly often within same day itself. "
16 April 2017Stephen Abraham
" Totally love the traditional pastries and kueh here. It's a bit hard to drive inside because the road is so small, but it was worth it. Try the sampler package which consists of 12 different kuehs for RM 12. Simply delicious and very worth it for the price. So many different varieties available. Must come! "
16 April 2017Christopher Wee
" Only tried the popiah and ondeh ondeh. Preferred the latter but it's a good place to come when you are in Malacca. "
15 April 2017Jared Low
" 2 stars for the Mee Siam and nonya dumpling. The rest is a different style of kueh with lots of coconut and flour. Too much hype. "
15 April 2017Zhi Cheng HANG
" Came here a bit earlier than opening hours. Can get the freshest possible Kueh. Good variety. Very delicious kueh "
15 January 2017Zac Wong

" Food is good. But please be careful when parking the car. My car was broken into through the passenger side. Mobile phone and bag was stolen. Reported police. "
05 December 2016Agnes Thing
" Cheap and good nonya kuehs. Very busy place and kuehs sold out quickly. Their kuehs are all delicious but my personal favourite is kueh salat. "
22 September 2016Marcus Leong
" Best onle onle.. freshly made. But long que "
12 July 2016Pamela Teh
" Arrived around 2pm++. No queues, right before a tour came. So we had the leisure of looking around the Kueh!
11 July 2016Taste of some selection of bought such as ondeh ondeh, udang were good on the texture and tasted really nyonya.
Pearl barley was indeed looking good too.
However, it was a little pricey for Kueh. "

" Home made style nyonya kuih... It is really good.. tot it is a little over rated though. "
19 April 2016Corinna Chan
" Incredibly delicious and traditional Nyonya cakes and sweets! The turnover is so fast that everything tastes amazing; if you're lucky, you might catch the batches as they come out of the kitchen. A must-visit for those interested in local culture, though it can be tricky to get here if you don't have a car. "
19 February 2016Gerard Vincent
" I would say view this place as a tourist attraction, then you won't be disappointed... the narrow road leading to the entrance, the workers making the kuih all around you, the variety of food on sale, the colours, etc. BUT if you are going there for quality kuih, then there are many places in Melaka, and KL for that matter, that sell better tasting Nyonya kuih. The Kuih Koci is above average. Avoid the Pai Ti because the chili sauce tastes like sugar. Baba Low's which is walking distance from this place serves really good ones. "
13 December 2015L. C. Chong
" Ingredients of some kuih are obviously cut short. Some kuih should use Gula melaka, but they use white sugar. This is typical problem of many so called famous restaurant. Before famous, they take the ingredients seriously, but after famous, profitability became highest priority. "
24 November 2015Raymond Toh
" hard to find but it's sure rewarding when bite into those soft, chewy, fluffy odeh odeh....sedap! they have a wide variety of kueys too.. "
