" A nice resort with comfortable rooms, but it's a little bit confused about what it wants to be. It seems like the Plataran group spent a bunch of money to set the place up well, but the management and operations are lacking. For example, the carved wood features are very nice, but the welcome is awkward- they make you take a photo with a Flores warrior, but there's no real context for it. You arrive dazed from a long flight, and then suddenly you're standing next to a bare-chested guy holding a whip. Whaaat???

The rooms are nice, but again, they haven't gotten the details quite right. For example, they have a capsule coffee maker in the room, but it has a 3 prong plug but all the electrical outlets are for 2 prongs, so you can't use it.

The beach here is okay, but not great. The beach isn't nearly as nice as those out on some of the nearby islands. They have some old kayaks to borrow to paddle out to Monkey Island. The setting is nice though and it's a good place to watch the sunset. However, the location is a bit isolated. It's about a 20 minute drive over bad roads into Bajo. They don't seem to want business for transport to town or boat tours out to the islands; they set their prices far too high. For example, they ask for rp250k to get a car to town, but it's easy to find a taxi for rp100k. If you want a tour to Komodo, you'll find it for about 1/3 the price if you book in Labuan Bajo instead of the hotel.

The food from the restaurant is very tasty, and was some of the best that I ate in Flores. Details are lacking though. It's a relaxed beach setting, but they have white table cloths. The service was okay, but not on par with what you'd expect for the prices you pay here. "

" A beautiful resort with very nice rooms and very friendly staff. The food is also very good and breakfast is free of charge. The beach is also cleaned by hotel staff, though the sea itself near the hotel is still dirty from the nearby harbour and city. Beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed from the beach infront of the resort, with a chance to also see a rainbow if your lucky. You can also use a cano to go to the nearby monley island, which somehow has no monkeys, but still offers a nice private beach. Hotel staff can also help you book tours to the nearby Komodo islands. Enjoy your stay! :) "

" View is nice, and the staffs are friendly. However, value for money is meh. Overpriced food for mediocre quality. I can buy more delicious food down the dock for 1/3rd of the price they set in Plataran. "

" Serene blue sea, long pier, private yacht, an island escapade.

Directly from Gili Lawalaut we sailed to Waecicu beach. Plataran Komodo/Atlantis on The Rock is a large beach resort. We anchored by the pier next to Plataran private yacht, the resort's yacht. A very long wooden pier to reach the shoreland, i saw a large white stone marked "Atlantis on The Rock" .

An open air restaurant viewing the quiet blue sea and long pier. I thought the restaurant design will be artistic considering this is part of Plataran group, a hotelier and restaurateur group of companies in Jakarta famous for managing luxurious properties and restaurant. Atlantis was not too artistic.

View from the resto to the long pier is great. A long pier stretching into the sea. The shallow water is calm and perfect for swimming. It is so relaxing. I took some pictures of the pier. Very nice.

The resort is at the private beach. Cottages in half stone, half wooden, typical beach resort. A quiet perfect getaway.
Amelia hills were nearby, a perfect place on the hill to view the resort, mangrove forest and majestic serene sunset drowning into the Savu sea.

Note: the resto has a special gift for people having birthday. "
