" Made a reservation, the spa didn’t even know about it, so they couldn’t perform the time I had requested. Also, said I was allergic to aloe vera before coming, offered me an aloe vera welcome drink. No excuses whatsoever and though the massage was ok the person wasn’t very pleasant. Overpriced compared to others, and not as professional as they should be. "

22 April 2018I’m not usually one for writing reviews especially one that is negative, and may be damaging however i feel i have to comment on the matter.
After lots of research on the trying to find a suitable spa for my girlfriends birthday present i discovered slo spa in Gili Air. I booked her a one hour facial treatment and a 1 hour relaxation massage.
I returned 2 hours later to find my girlfriend in tears at the reception. She didn’t want to tell me about her experience as it would upset me too but after a while she did. She said...
It started very professionally and was made to feel relaxed but nothing was explained to her about the treatments she was having especially the facial. The massage was very poor with no techniques used and only moving the aleo vera around her body. The therapist also left the room many times, left her feeling exposed with the door open and the therapist was even yawning frequently throughout the massage.
The facial was a horrific experience for her as I mentioned earlier as nothing was explained at the start. She has sensitive skin and the steamer left her in distress and then followed the worst part. A tool was used to scrap her skin and squeeze her pimples. She had tears down her face due to the pain. This is not acceptable!
Her face is now red, swollen and tender in parts and i only hope its ok tomorrow and back to normal.
Also she was told the massage was over by the therapist ringing a bell! That’s not right surely?!
Anyway this happened today 22/04/2018 on her 30th birthday! Thanks for nothing Slo spa you have pretty much ruined her (our) special day. Furthermore this was the most expensive treatment she could have. Terrible. "

" Beautiful property and lovely staff. Massage was above the average set by the £100-150k massages you might get beachside but these are still likely untrained massage therapists so not fantastic. Unfortunately a sudden downpour and badly leaking roof ended my massage abruptly at about 5 minutes from the end. I would still recommend slow spa however as a bit of luxury of you're on a more modest holiday. "

" I decided to go there due to the TripAdvisor ratings. I didnt stay at there facility and was a walk-in guest. It seemed as if they were fully booked and tried to squeeze me in. I booked their recommended Aloe Vera Abs coconut massage for 1 hour for 350.000 IRP
21 June 2017I got some flavoured water when i came.
The room was very clean and relaxing.
Compared to other Spas you dont get paper underwear which i personally think is not necessary due to the huge waste problem the island already has.
The only thing I'd note is that the Aloe Vera wasnt applied very sensitive.
During my massage my therapist changed which they did very secretly. The other therapist told ne afterwards she didnt feel good and had stomach problems.
After the treatment they clean you and remove all the oil. I for myself wouldnt Kind to be a bit more oily after a sunburn.
I didnt get any tea or water afterwards since it seemed as I was the last guest.
The way back leads through a dark alley of trees. Bring a light or at least your mobile phone.
I'd go there again but not so late (7 pm).
You pay double the price than compared to other Spas but you'll see the difference when you enter. Try to make a reservation in advance. "
