" Very expensive food and everything. I ordered caffe macchiato and I get espresso with milk and taste of this coffee was very disappointing. Overpriced for stupid white tourists. I did not feel well there.in my opinion this place is the most expensive on this island but I don't think that is good value for money. You can found more cheaper places around with better food, but not everything for everybody it's your choice. "

" Overpriced and very mediocre food and service. The pricing is tricky / confusing as most items are far more than the 75K the all you can eat salad + BBQ combo suggests. You also can rarely order just 1 item from BBQ (ie. Have to order 2 squid).

Some other issues: we ordered Pinot noir and it came ice cold, the salsa on the nachos was tomato sauce, the staff really struggled to explain anything.

Do yourself a favor and go to Pituq, the night market or likely anywhere else. If you must go to Scallywags, the chicken tandoori was much better than the chicken kebob. "

Everything else was amazing though, table on the beach as the waves lapped our feet, lovely lighting and friendly staff. "

" Great BBQ and friendly staff! I recommend getting a table overlooking the main strip up in the restaurant. It has a great view and you can see the moonlight reflecting off the water. The seafood here is great and you pick what you want and they'll cook it and deliver it to your table with a free salad bar and potato/rice side. "

" Seafood are almost perfect, very tasty with reasonable prices. Salad is provided with buffet style with continental and local options. Sitting at the upper floor of restaurant is very cozy, we can see the beautiful beach of gili trawangan with the view of blue hilly mountains in Lombok. Service is not perfect but okay. A recommended place to dine and relax with your family or your friends. "

" On the first day we reached Gili we saw this place was packed and wondered what all the fuss was about. Well, we're still wondering now. To start off we were the only locals dining and the staff did not seem keen to get us a table, or wait our table after. Very lazy and no smiles were offered. I guess they don't want to make the effort to make the night special for every customer.

The food took long to arrive. The ala carte meals were surprisingly bland for the price we paid. We asked for medium sirloin steak and it was still pretty rare. And my dish, pork/veal in flour, was hard to chew as well and not very good. They just provide a lot of mushroom sauce on the side to cover up the fact that the meat is tasteless.

The salad bar was good though with plenty of options. In hindsight we should just have had the salad bar and skip the ala carte altogether. And the fresh seafood was also good, but exorbitantly priced. We had two medium sized prawns for 180 thousand. Literally just two pieces of prawn! In the end we paid around 600 thousand for two people. Which wouldn't be a problem if the food was good, or if the staff were kind. The only time they smiled was after we paid.

If you think this place has amazing food or is fairly priced then you have not visited the night market. Honestly you are probably paying for the tables and the 'view' here, not the chef's skills or the staff's service.

All in all it was a disappointing last dinner in Gili and we would have preferred another meal at the night market compared to dining here. "

" I went here for lunch with my family because the view and location of this place is amazing. The staffs seemed lazy to prepare the table for my family of 5 people, in the end our table wasn't prepared properly (no forks, spoons, etc). The menu is quiet pricey except for the large mineral water (which is 10k IDR each). Worst experience about eating here is the waiting time. We waited for more than 30 minutes. Around 4-5 tables which came after us got their food first, it made us feel discriminated and sad. We were so hungry. When we asked why, they only said the kitchen was busy to prepare for BBQ, which I think is a bad excuse (remember other table got their food faster). The food was okay, but the bad service gives more impression than the food taste. "

The seafood was quite fresh and good. The salad selection is also pretty nice. The beef was meh though. Deserts were a bit strange. The chocolate was mediocre.

Apple crumble was horrible.

Overall a bit too hyped, but still nice for the experience, view, good seafood, and atmosphere. "

" This restaurant is packed every night. We are staying in theirs resort so we are walking past it everyday. So we had to go and try it. They have classic menu and a BBQ. With BBQ you choose your meat, side dish and make your own salad from salad bar. We had monster ribs with jacked potato and Ahi tuna with rice. Ribs were tender and fell right of the bone. Tuna was perfectly grilled to medium rare as requested. Both dishes were delicious and portions are just right. Prices are a bit higher, but still cheaper than what I would pay for same food back home. So in my eyes it is well worth it. "
