" I had a small but deep cut on my shin (1.5cm) for about a week and kept surfing.
27 March 2018It ended up getting badly infected so I went to the clinic.
The Dr there gave me a local anaesthetic, cleaned the wound and put in 3 stitches. The staff there were very friendly.
The cost of the local, clean and stitches cost 400k and with the antibotics(oral and topical) pain killers and anti inflammatories it came to 997k with a free follow up consultation.
I've attached the bill for reference.
Unfortunately after no improvement in 3 days I flew to Bali and went to the hospital there.
First thing they did was remove the stitches and find more puss.
They put me on IV antibiotics.
Apparently an infected wound should not be stitched but dressed and left to drain until the infection clears.
I believe the staff here acted with the best intentions but prehaps lack some medical knowledge, for more serious issues I would seek a 2nd opinion in Mataram or Bali.
It is also worth contacting your insurance company as they have preferred hospitals to make the claim process easier.
Look after you cuts if you are spending a lot of time in the water, apparently infections like this are quite common here and can put a dampener on your holiday. "

My nurse Yuri was great with the bandages and the lowdown on how best to keep everything clean and healing quickly. The boss, Sahar, was very kind and respectful. The whole place was super clean and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for medical attention in Lombok. Great English by everyone and they didn’t charge anything for service! "

" We came to this private clinic after a serious scooter accident. The wounds were well cleaned and bend. Friends of us were treated only 300m in another hospital (Medical Treatment) in Kuta, were they just bended the dirty wounds without cleaning ... result has been an infection. Here they did there Job well.
09 October 2017They cleaned the wounds again and gave us generics and pain killers. The staff is very friendly. They are real doctors and know what is best for you - also if it Hurts sometimes :)
They also served coffee and food.
Therefore be sure ! that you are in the right clinic and not in the very small "Medical Treatment", which is in same the street. Take care of you and Drive slowly! "

28 July 2017Wir kamen wegen starken Ohrenschmerzen meiner Freundin. Der Arzt hat einen kurzen Blick auf das schmerzende Ohr geworfen und kam zum Schluss das dieses sauber sei und es sich um eine Entzündung handle. Er hat Schmerzmittel und ein breitbandantibiotikum verkauft und gesagt in 3 tagen sei es dann wieder ok. Natürlich war dies nicht der fall und nach 4 Tage sind wir dann ins Spital gefahren.
Die gesamte Konsultation hat ca. 5 min gedauert und 1'000'000 rupia gekostet.
In der Schweiz wäre dies günstiger gewesen. Nicht schlecht beim lohnniveau in Lombok.
Direkt nebenan gibt es einen anderen Arzt wie wir im nachhinein erfahren haben. Dieser sei viel preiswerter. "
