" Gypsea Yoga was the first place I had tried any type of Yoga practice. Liz, the owner of the space (and yoga instructor) was an incredible person to begin my yoga journey with. Liz has incredible knowledge in Iyengar yoga and helped me to make so much process in only 5 days.
24 April 2018The space where we practiced our yoga had the most beautiful scenery of green grass and trees and beautiful flowers. There Is a nice breeze and the incense mixed with the natural air creates the most calming aroma. To end the yoga session you mediate for 10 minutes and Liz has the most calming voice that helps to make the experience more amazing. So thankful for being able to find Liz and Gypsea Yoga to begin my journey in yoga! "

" I stayed for 4 days in Gypsea for a personal yoga retreat and everything was just perfect from start to finish.
19 April 2018Arrived at Gypsea at 2.30 in the afternoon to the beautiful javanese inspired wooden bungalow. The design was very traditional and and it has a soothing vibe in it's own way. Not long after Liz greeted me and showed me the comfortable common area as well as the spacious outdoor yoga studio.
The yoga itself was amazing. Liz teaches Iyengar yoga with a vast knowledge and amazing passion, it is my first time doing yoga and Liz managed to make it very enjoyable. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this yoga retreat has improved myself more than I expect it to be in terms of finding peace and awareness inside of myself.
For the dinner I had the Mie Goreng, Green Curry Chicken and Lentil burgers, all of them were amazing and I end it with a coconut water. They also provide a breakfast for an airbnb booking, during my stay the option were banana pancakes or a smoothie bowl. I love both of them equally.
Despite the natural concept of the bungalow, I didn’t feel any discomfort whatsoever. The room was pretty cold during the evening and they provide you with a fan. They also provide you with a mosquito net but I didn't feel disturbed by any mosquitos during my stay. The mosquito net itself is made out of cotton which is much colder than the cheap polyester mosquito net.
Overall it was a very enjoyable stay, I’m really happy with everything and I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wanted to find peace and comfort in the Senggigi area. "

" We walked from the living asia resort and it was such a friendly walk meeting locals on the way. The studio is beautiful and located in the forrest. Liz was a great instructor and when the class was small she decided to change the lesson to suit our needs (inexperience! Haha). After class they served freshly made chai tea (making their own masala) and it was great to sit around and chat to find more out about the area. Definitely worth every rupiah (very affordable at that!) "
