" This place is a little overrated, I would say. I made a reservation for 1.30 but had to wait 15 minutes for a table, which was fine with me. The seafood squid ink pasta I ordered was overcooked, which is unacceptable, especially for prego, which prides itself as an Italian restaurant. But hey, at least the prawns were fresh and succulent. I had heard many people talking about how good their bread was, however what I got was simply a letdown. The bread themselves were dry and hard, which made them impossible to eat without drowning in olive oil. The ricotta’s that came with it was pretty good though. The service was not very good as well, with us having to wave our hands frantically in the air to catch the attention of the waitress, only to be told to “wait a second” (turns out to be 5 minutes hmm) Overall, although this restaurant has a lot to work on, I would come here if I was working around the area, or if I wanted to have a space to catch up with friends. "

" This place is a disaster, obviously people leaving positive feedback and those saying "Prego is one of the best Italian restaurants In singapore" (just read this, are high?) have no idea what Italian food tastes like. We had two pizza there $38 ++ each (service and taxes), never seen such an expensive pizza in my life. The pizza was more than average (reminded me of Domino's pizza with thinner crust). Obviously the kitchen staff is not qualified in Italian cuisine and just following recipes from the manual. They just throw regular vegetables/meat/and other ingredients and let it cook. Parmesan cheese was industrial. The ingredients were basic and not good quality.
08 August 2017The service was sooooo slow. We were asked to wait 10min in the lobby before being seated (so many empty tables, why make us wait ?).
And the pizza was the most random I've ever tried. Being French, I've been to Italy so many times in holidays, and we have very good pizzerias in Paris as well. This was nothing similar to an actual italian pizza.
Also, they charge you $3 per person for "free flow" tap water that's been - allegedly - through some kind of filter process (okay we got it you want to convince customers to order pricey drinks instead). They took our bottle of water away before the pizzas arrived (empty already since we've been waiting for so long) and never renewed it. We ate the pizzas without anything to drink.
Waiters seemed overwhelmed (although very numerous for so little tables). Food was bad and expensive. If you wanna try decent pizza I remember going to one pizzeria in Chijmes that was ok or go to Dolce Vita but this place is not an italian restaurant. "

" Prego is one of the best Italian restaurants In singapore. While there has been more excellent restaurants emerging over the years, Prego is still amongst the best of them, and is especially good value with discounts from credit cards.

" Lasagne was great! Ravioli ricotta e spinaci was not bad. In relation to the food quality, not really worth it, though ambience was nice. Staff try their best to give good service, but understaffed and wait times are long, be it to order, get the bill or even getting seated in the first place. Reserve ahead of getting there. "

The menu was extensive with many main course (average $30+), starters (average $20) and soup options. Would visit again but, probably only on special occasions. "
