SMA Negeri 94 Jakarta carried out its activities for the first time in July 1987 by occupying a newly built three buildings on Jalan Al-Barkah 1 Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng, West Jakarta under the name SMA Negeri Rawa Buaya and the principal, Mr. Mansyur Lubis, BA. (years 1987-1990).Then in 1990-1991 teaching and learning activities were gradually moved to a new building on Jalan Semanan Raya, Kalideres, West Jakarta because the building in Rawa Buaya would be used for SMPN 264.In 1991-1992, SMA Negeri Rawa Buaya officially moved to a new building and changed its name to SMA Negeri 94 Jakarta.On 27 May 2006 a fire occurred which consumed almost the entire class on the 2nd floor so that teaching and learning activities were temporarily moved to the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 12 building in the Duri Kosambi area of Cengkareng, West Jakarta. And After waiting for almost 2 years, finally on February 2, 2008 KBM returned to its original location because the new 4-story building had been completed.
