22 May 2018We returned to this restaurant 6 times, either for brunch or dinner.
One of the nights, I mentioned to the waiter that it was my mother's 60th birthday. I have never seen staff in a restaurant go to such an effort to surprise someone for their birthday. Cake, candles, sparklers, music, the works !
Thank you Cafe Bali for going above and beyond. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough ! "

" Nice decor but the food quality and tastes was below standard: beef rendang the beef was hard, a friend ordered a steak but it was hard eventhough ordered a medium rare. Good for drinks only.

1. When you come here as a foreigner or with foreigners, the staff is very friendly.
2. But when you come as an Indonesian, the staff is unfriendly. They never smile, rude and they treat you as a second class guess. how bizarre!
Introduce yourself as a foreigner and don't speak Bahasa Indonesia. hahahaha :)
If you guys feel the same thing, please raise up your voice and tell to the person directly.
For the staff: please don't under estimate for your own local clients! Smiling & saying thank you won’t cost you a thing. Better go back to school (or somewhere else) to learn politeness 😁 "

" This place is good for family or group. They serve various meals from Indonesian and western food. Taste is just average and the price is a bit pricey. Coffee options available as well but I'm pretty sure it's so so. Pretty good ambience for having lunch/dinner in group. The place is not too crowded so it's good for talking. Pretty good setting as well with old style decorations. The parking area is small so you have to use valet if it's already full. "

But the most incredible part .. mentally they have lost it ... you order a tuna carpaccio which is already expensive and for 3 mignon peaces of bread they ask for extra 50.000 ... considering that and entire baguette is sold for 12.000 ...
Well tourist like to be fooled around .. so keep enjoying but to the owners .. did not know you had business difficulties which do force you to charge for bread "

The lasagna wasn't fresh and the ground beef was disgusting. Not to mention that the steak was so dry and the French fries hard as a rock! (Look at the pictures and judge by yourself)

" Great selection of tapas food and small meals. I had the mushroom risotto which was beautiful. My partner had the garlic prawns and prawn tempura, which he loved. For drinks we had frozen strawberry daiquiris, which we both loved as they had a strong flavour. The staff are very helpful and welcoming and the cafe has and positive and cosy vibe. Would go again. 21 September 2016We had a couple of the soups, the green curry and the sate. Considering we are in Indonesia and they should know what sate and curry should taste like, I expected something somewhat spicy. The peanut sauce in the sate was hardly noticeable and there was no spice on the green curry; unless coconut milk is considered a spice now a days.
If you are looking for somewhere nice to have a cup of tea or a coffee, I highly recommend it. Otherwise, move on. "
