Our world is shifting from the time period of food abundance to one of food scarcity. This condition is becoming more critical every day with rapid population growth, changing climate, depleting aquifers, and rising consumption of livestock. Tay Juhana Foundation (TJF) realizes that this global issue should be given more attention and a series of immediate actions must be taken to avoid its aggravation. TJF aims to improve food security at both local and global levels, to combat climate change through effective mitigation and adaptation initiatives, as well as to build prosperous farmer communities.Founded by the late Mr. Tay Juhana, the Founding Father of Sambu Group – the world's largest integrated coconut industry (Cocoinfo International, 2017) – TJF is dedicated to accomplish those missions by promoting the advocacy of the conversion of sub-optimal lands into productive lands through the most environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable research, technology development, and community empowerment projects.
