" You really need a good guide when visiting this place. So many thombstone with their unique stories about the life (and the deaths) of people in Jakarta since 18th century. "

" i came here to see the gravestone of legendary young activist Soe Hok Gie, though the remains was not here anymore. He was later cremated and ashes spread on mountain. It's a small unnoticed historical site for architecture and photography entusiast. It's no longer graveyard since all body remains were moved but the grave monuments & statues etc still original, combined with the old trees it could be quite something chilly. "

" Photography spot and an outdoor museum. You should pay Rp 5.000,- ( As I remember foreigners have different price) before you get into this place. It look like a grave yard bit it isn't. It just show a tomstone that people used in Hindia era for their beloved one. In my opinion it's a historical place because I could recognize some names that gave influent for Indonesia history and for me it also a gallery because each tombstone carved beutifully, some has a tower shape and the others angel shape. Good place. "

" Not sure why this is a museum. Clearly this is a cemetery for the Dutch and while the statues are beautiful, I didn't really think it was worth coming here. Standard Rp 5k entrance fee. Suprisingly, I did get some beautiful pictures coming here during the day. "

" This place is well-known for its tombstone collections. Hundreds of tombstone lay here. Even you can find Soe Hok Gie's tombstone. This is a quiet place. Some painters often spend their time here try looking for inspiration for their painting. "

" You can find colonial tombstone/memorial dated from 1700s up until 1960s here as some of the corpses were already relocated to somewhere else. Most of them are the Dutch, but there are some American, British, and Chinese-Indonesian too. Some are really well-kept but expect to see many deteriorating sculpture/tombstones. Near the entrance they display the caskets of Bung Karno and Bung Hatta. Sadly they don't put information or story even on the prominent person's tombstone so if you don't understand Dutch at all it will be quite disappointing. It is quiet here but during midday the heat might be really intense and near the closing hour the mosquitoes will start to upset you. It is still a nice place if you want to escape from the city and admire the work of art after all. "

" This is an old graveyard, built during Dutch colonization. Why on earth people want to see old graveyards? Isn't it a bit spooky? Well, Indonesian always attract to spooky stories. Plus, for those who like photography, this is also the best sites for you to practice. You can see the statues sort of alive, their eyes watching you intensly.
18 August 2016However, some of the statues were vandalized which is a pity actually. "

" Well, it's okay for the park...
22 June 2016But for the ex cemetery (with all of tombstones, statues & all other kind of that stuff), I don't get the sacred feeling as I entered the location.
Maybe because the surroundings aren't really support this park museum. "

" You can find a lot of old tombstones here..from the tombstones of the first wife of Raffles, the British governor for Batavia, to Soe Hok Gie, a revolutionary figure in 1960s.
05 May 2016This is also a good spot to do a photoshot.Although, there's some spot which they used to burn garbages. Such a shame. "
