Emily S, International Comics Artist, winner of ‘Animate Europe’, ‘Anime Expo’ manga competition, with artworks exhibited and comics in print all over the world starting from USA, Germany, Belgium, UK, Japan, etc.
She graduated in 2015 with a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a distinguished scholarship recipient. Her projects include manga-style illustrations for ‘First Year Japanese’ textbook in collaboration with Pearson’s and Dr. Ritsuko Hirai, which is widely used in universities in Japan and USA such as in California Institute of Technology.
She will make a debut as a pro manga artist in Japan next year, and is currently staying here in Jakarta to share her knowledge to fellow aspiring artists in Indonesia.
