" The W was the start of an amazing honeymoon! The hotel upgraded our room to a suite and it was incredible. They also did a wonderful job acknowledging my gold status. The view was stunning, the room large, the shower incredible. See the pic for our view.
21 April 2018The staff were extremely friendly, sincere, and helpful. The concierge was happy to arrange a spa appointment off site without hassling us to use the W one. The food we had around the property was just what we needed as we adjusted to region.
Overall, this is a property we will certainly return too. "

" This place is great for a day of tanning, lunch, happy hour, or dinner. Basically there’s no need to be a guest of the hotel. If you want to come and have a day bed in the sun you’ll have to go to the restaurant area. There’s a minimum spend but it isn’t that high. Less than $50 for sure. Towels are provided. Happy hour pizza is also provided. And there are offers on drinks during happy hour. Lovely sunset and beach access. Very well guarded and secure facility. Bathrooms underground next to the bar. There are shuttles that take you from the main road into the resort. They come every few minutes. Just stand at the entrance where the bamboo tunnel starts. "

" Absolutely prefect. They look into every aspect of a guests' stay and the staff is so accommodating and friendly. It is perfect for a short getaway with the family and it is extremely child friendly as well. We stayed at the 1 bedroom villa and it gave us so much joy seeing our young one splashing about in the pool. The buggy system was wonderful in getting us around the hotel. Would come back in a heartbeat! Sunsets were amazing by the beach and we loved the beach as well. Thank u for an amazing birthday getaway! "

" Great place to stay if you don’t mind a bit of noise. The beach view room we stayed in for a couple of nights was great. Had everything we need. The house music going almost non-stop gets a bit repetitive and at night the waves are quite loud. None of which is an issue if you are in Seminyak to party. The breakfast buffet at Starfish is awesome and highly recommended.

01 April 2018If you’re after a day of lux, this place should be the first port of call.
I was here celebrating a new promotion and new job and we had a day of cocktails, swimming and sunshine.
The cocktails were awesome, we tried almost everything. The food was of an extremely high standard and we left wanting for nothing.
The staff are attentive, helpful and even charged our phones while we were there.
If you’re after cheap and cheerful it’s not the best place but if you want to splurge and really treat yourself, this place is essential. "

20 March 2018From the moment you alight from your airport transfer, the moment you step out of the door, your unique W experience begins, the doormen/bellboy or staff, all of which are called 'talents' by w hotel, would come by and greet you, introduce themselves and get to know your name (which they put on effort to remember because every other time they see me, even a day after, they remember and address me by name 👍🏼).
Check in was super smooth with timely explanation of the hotel, not too long not too short. Went straight to check into the ocean view suite, which was just stunning with the sunset views at the balcony.
Room was super modern and futuristic with high tech stuff and I love the cordless phones. The Bluetooth speaker was super neat, and the huge huge list of DVD selections was just epic!! Really good stuff.
One thing I really liked about the experience was how many staff they have, which means wherever you are around the hotel, if there was anything you need, you probably wouldn't even have to search for a staff as they will come and ask if you need anything. All staff are proactive and very initiative, so that was really refreshing for me. The swimming pool was designed in a rice terrace layering style so that was pretty cool but navigating around it was a bit of a bummer. The restaurants were great and I must say the buffet breakfast at the fire, that's what they call it, is amazing, the spread is just kind blowing and will just take you to a whole new place! Access to the beach was super sweet too.
One more nice touch is their buggy rides into and out of the resort, with high security levels. The journey in is super beautiful with the overhanging trees :)

" Sunday brunch here is a glorious buffet from 12 til about 4pm. You must put a deposit down to secure your spot. You are welcome to use their pool and sunbeds too as part of the price. But it's roughly $65 pp. Half price for kids. Very nice but pricey given the quality you can get elsewhere in bali for much less. "

" Great service, everyone is very hospital. One employee expressed very genuine concern when my friend said he felt sick and suggested some ginger tea and made it for us. The rooms look very nice and modern but the walls and furniture seem to be on the cheaper side. Unfortunately the door is on the thinner side so we can hear guests walk by. The bathroom is also somewhat open air but with a glass ceiling and we can hear others showering and birds squaking. Location is not bad but just know that traffic is really bad here in Bali at almost every hour, so expect long rides even for short distances here. "

" Pool is not heated in the private villas, and the bugs pest control was manual outside compared to Viceroy in Ubud which had larger spray machines on 24/7 about 4 times the size and power. Barely any light outside in the evening. Would have given it 5 stars for better pest control, outside evening lighting and heated water. Staff, food, spa and location was amazing. Will stay again but not in the private villas. "

" I really like the arrival at night. The lighting is just beautiful. Location is great and the swimming pool the shape of rice fields is just stunning. However frankly they make the worst cocktails for a 5 star. At some point it feels more like a nightclub than a hotel. For any other girl I would give 4 but this is a five star and for what you pay you deserve more. "

14 June 2017I forgot to say what impressed me most about the W....when we arrived I thought it was the setting...then we checked in and the person who looked after us was fantastic .... then were driven to our villa in a buggy, the guy that drove us there was fantastic ....then we got into the villa and I thought it was that .... next morning...breakfast at Ice was sensational, and all the wait staff were attentive and friendly....then a stroll around the amazing resort on on the beach...and i thought it was that ....but really, what makes the W special, is not just the amazing setting, incredible design and furnishings
... its the people...
the staff here are the best staff in any hotel we have ever been too ....
every interaction with any staff member here concludes with them saying
'is there anything else I can do for you?'
Those 9 words delivered with a genuine smile will make you feel blessed to be staying here .... believe me .... its money well spent "

" Great location right beside the popular Potato Head, but less busy which means you can get a seat. Would suggest going for the happy hour. You can use the swimming pool even if you aren't a guest of the hotel, and the service provided overall is top notch. Definitely worth a visit; very nice beach club. "

" Came to Bali as part of our Honeymoon traveling. We picked W to spend 3 days in one of the private villa for 2. Our stay has been everything we wanted. Private but with all the amenities of a well staffed resort. It's the attention to detail that makes this villa and the resourt as a whole (we noticed one of the pool attenders "inform" his colleague on how to fold and role a beach towel the correct way). Food is excellent as is the drinks options. As a short stay before our 5 day traveling around Bali we didn't feel rushed or that we missed out on anything.

" We went to Woo Bar in the afternoon, to see what it was like, before buying tickets for New Years Eve. After sampling a few amazing, reasonably priced cocktails and relaxing in the luxurious surrounds, we decided this would be perfect for us. How wrong we were!
12 January 2017Although we asked about the dress code and were assured that shorts were fine, when we arrived in the evening, my husband was directed to a stall that sold long pants for $50. After changing and finally being granted access to the bar, we discovered that the cocktail list had been replaced with a beer, wine & basic spirit list and prices had increased to $20/drink.
To top it all off, we were then informed that for an extra $500, we could have the luxury of sitting in a chair - it had already cost $260 to get in!
At these prices, one would think that they'd have a Plan B for wet weather, but of course not. Before long, the $500 chairs were soaked and rendered unusable, leaving many people huddled under a small awning. Hundreds of people went there to celebrate New Years and had to share two toilets.
How disappointing- would not recommend for New Years Eve. "

Cannot wait to come back to Bali and stay at W for at least a week! My partner and I loved it so much that we've decided to stay there for our honeymoon!

" This review is as a visitor, not as a hotel guest, which I've heard is a wonderful experience. The pool and facilities are top notch. However, you will be made to feel very un-welcome as a visitor, except to order food and drinks. Staff are well mannered, but you are not allowed to sit by the pool, and use their sunbeds or towels. The only thing you can pay for is towels (40k) I believe. They watch you everywhere you go and we felt very uncomfortable the entire time. We also got short changed at the end! :/ It is pointless to go and spend money there if you are a visitor! It is absolutely not worth the price for food and drinks with the way you are treated. However, I'm sure it is a different story if you are a hotel guest. "

" I left after coming out to use the pool which I'd read was open to the public. I thought nothing to lose by coming out in a Monday. Except for a significant amount of my time. All of the staff were very unhelpful. They gave me the run around and seemed confused why if want to lay horizontally to get a tan. I'd've paid for a sun bed and they were mostly empty. WHATEVER?!?! NO FUN. "

" I love W! Amazing location, good rooms, awesome pool and the Woo Bar serves good food and has amazing drinks. You can come as a guest or hotel guest. Note there is a minimum spend if you are visiting from outside and want to use their facilities. The moment you drive in through the bamboo arches, you know there's something special. Hotel is well designed and caters to both families and couples. The hotel is right on the beach and a Woo Bar is the place to watch the sunset with cold drinks, good service and hopefully great company. "
