02 August 2017Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. It absolutely cannot be called a hotel. 12 massive villas all served by one central office. We had the absolute pleasure of staying in a royal one bedroom villa (Villa #5) for 7 nights. Wow, this place is absolutely spectacular! It is simply massive in size. We checked in very late at night (~10:30pm) but they welcomed us with open arms anyway. Check in was a matter of seconds and then we were whisked to our villa. They opened one of the huge double doors (slowly, to build up anticipation) and our jaws hit the floor. They had prepped all of the lighting in the villa so it was ready to display itself in all of its nighttime glory. We immediately stepped into the courtyard area and could not believe the gorgeous pool, tropical plants, actual lawn, gazebo, outdoor living room, dining room, kitchen, etc. It was simply a dream. Then we were escorted to the air conditioned bedroom which was an incredible surprise. I can't explain to you the difference that A/C makes at night. I have never had a better night's sleep while on vacation. The bathroom is outdoors and is simply breathtaking. Taking a shower or bath under blue skies or under stars at night is truly a unique experience.
Every night we simply placed our breakfast order for the next morning. You select the time so there are no intrusions. With breakfast ordered, our personal butler arrived right on time the next morning complete with an enormous smile and greeting. His name was Andi and we didn't know then that he would literally increase the enjoyment of our Bali vacation by leaps and bounds. He cooked us an incredible breakfast and served it right in our outdoor dining room. He snuck out so we could enjoy our meal at our own pace while simply taking in the beauty of the villa. Andi would check in later and always tell us to call him with absolutely any request. He offered to shop for us, help with transportation, give us tourism advice, etc. By the end of our 7 nights, we actually hugged Andi goodbye and all three of us had tears in our eyes. That's how much of an impact he made on our stay. He is an incredible person and I wish him the best of luck with his son Kenzo.
Since we stayed 7 nights, we had a chance to meet many staff members. All of them are amazing. Jerry and Anita at the front desk are incredibly helpful. They can answer almost any question and help arrange anything for you. We met a trainee butler who was in school for training. I don't know the spelling but her name was pronounced "Low-tee or Low-dee". She was so nice and will make an excellent butler in the future. Every night we were offered a buggy ride by the always smiling Ketut. He was so friendly and always provided a great way to close out the night. We had the pleasure of having dinner one night in our villa. Annie and Komang arrived and cooked us a beautiful 3 course meal and we had a very romantic setting at a table right next to our pool complete with leaf lanterns all over our patio area. They were both so incredibly friendly and did such a wonderful job to make sure our dinner was magical.
We walked every day to both lunch and dinner and there were enough great restaurants in the area to keep us from repeating over 8 days. The roads are a little dangerous to walk on so you are welcome to take the free buggy service that the Villa staff will always offer when they see you venturing out. We only used the service once but it was definitely safer.The nearby Batubelig beach is ok and has great sunsets but the beach bar ruins the serene mood with their garbage techno music thumping the whole time. Still worth the 5 minute walk for one sunset though.
We almost never repeat vacations but we have strong feelings about wanting to return to this place in the near future. It was that great and the staff is 50% of the reason why! "

" Villa was away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. Rooms in the 3 bedroom villa was cleaned every day and towels were changed on a daily basis. Housekeepers Any and Harry were so accommodating and pleasant! "
