Very friendly staff who were very informative of what was on the plate in front of us. Will be back for sure next time I'm in Bali! "

" At our trip around Bali The Restaurant at The Legian was the most expensive one but definitely not the best. The lovely view and a stunning sunset doesn't make up for the food. We tried the tasting menu with wine pairing and out of the eight dishes only one is even slightly interesting, the emperor fish. Pasta too heavy, chicken and snapper grossly overcooked. Staff were very nice and polite and chef Luke took the time to come over to talk to us about our meal but the timing of service was a bit off. The four wines offered are presented every second dish which unfortunately allows for them to become too warm as the wait is considerable between courses, something they might get away with for red wine but it's very unsuitable for serving white. I'd award this restaurant 2,5 but since its not possible, considering value for money it's only a 2. Though the food might not be worth the trip, I can highly recommend a drink at the bar. The view overlooking the swimming pool and the ocean during sunset is absolutely stunning. "

26 September 2015We noticed the Discover VIII menu (that is what their current degustation menu is called) on a sign at the front of the hotel walking past after lunch one day. We booked for that night as the menu sounded great.
Did not disappoint.
Had a table right at the front of the restaurant in the patio. Overlooking the pool and ocean. Great attentive and friendly service.
It was very dimly lit with really on the table candle lighting up the area. Each dish they brought out was explained thoroughly with a little lamp used to point out each component of the dish. We appreciated that. Only problem with the dim light was we couldn't take good food photos. Very nice atmosphere.
The meal was amazing with each dish offering something unique and surprising. Well done to the chefs here.
Only down side was the meal went a little slow for our liking. Gaps between some dishes could definitely have been shortened. "
