" The high number of positive reviews seem sketchy for the quality of the food. Ordered a Burrito and it honestly tasted like a microwavable burrito that you can find at a 711 back home. Cheese was damn near frozen, the inside was segregated poorly to the point where one bite would just be a mouthful of vegetables, the next bite would only be cheese etc.. the whole meal was just bland and overpriced. I usually don’t write reviews but this is the first time I felt offended by a burrito lol "

I had to rate 5 stars because my meal tasted good and the staff were really friendly which I appreciate because for me of staff are rude then I won't go back even if food was amazing.
I even loved the car park security out the front because they stopped the busy traffic while I was trying to turn in and they were also very friendly.

The fajita was extraordinary, as was the wet burrito and the 8 layer burrito. There soft tacos too were good albeit with a little g light on the meat. But to be honest, i don’t know what the owner was think while creating the menu. I ordered lemonade and it came lime squeezed. I was surprised and ask the stuff. She responded lemonade in this restaurant is lime. Then to make sure i check the menu, there’s 5/6 menu with lemon and she said all of them made with lime. Like seriously??? You need to change the name!! Lime and lemon is totally different taste! "

The food is tasty and authentic, I especially love the guacamole (so fresh!). The service is excellent. The price is great for the big portions they serve. The parking lot is not very spacious, so I don't recommend coming by car. "

The food was reasonably priced but is seen as one of the more pricier options in Bali as it is designed to be more of a tourist friendly option. " You can't go wrong with Taco Casa. Food is high quality and fresh. If you want to feel ripped off, go to Motel Mexicola, but if you want a solid Mexican meal that I reasonably priced, this is undoubtedly the place to go. If I had my wish, they would have more menu options like combination plates and a salsa bar where you could try different home made sauces. But sometimes simple offerings can be the best. 😀 "

" I'm from Texas. Grew up 2 miles from the border of Mexico, and whether people know it or not, when you think "Mexican" food, you're talking about Tex-Mex. (Nachos, enchiladas, and burritos originated in Texas.) So, if you are in Bali and looking for Mexican, Taco Casa is as close as you will get. Had the beef tacos, and beef quesadillas, and the flavors were right. Just make sure you ask for cheddar cheese, for some reason Aussies think Mexican food should have mozzarella cheese. "

Taco casa was awesome. The Mexican was some of the best Mexican my partner and I have tasted. I loved the tacos and my parter would very highly recommend the chicken enchilada. Everything was reasonably priced and service was prompt. I loved how the menu even had photos to show what options were available.

I would recommend booking a table as venue is only quite small but very popular.

Overall I would highly recommend to visit Taco Casa for great food and a great experience. "

" Really just have to echo what most other reviews have already said. The food here is very fresh and very tasty indeed. You can tell a lot of work goes into ensuring fresh crisp veg and tender meat is at the heart of every dish. Tried the enchilada, quesadillas and tacos. All were excellent! Everything was nicely spiced but they have a range of hot sauces of varying viciousness on the table should you desire that. Washed out meal down with a jug of frozen margarita for 325k, so for 6 glasses that's less than 60k each! All in all, great food, attentive staff and a very enjoyable atmosphere. "

" When traveling to new places, I typically don't like to eat at the same places twice. Just because there's so many places to eat and so little time. However, we stayed in Ubud for five days and ate at Taco Casa twice. The first time we ate at Taco Casa I had their hard shell tacos (beef, shrimp, and chicken) and it was really tasty. Crunchy and so fresh! It came with sour cream, black beans, and their homemade red sauce is absolutely delicious. The second time we got their huge steak burritos... it was filled with meat, rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and of course I poured their red sauce all over. If you're visiting Ubud, please go try this place. Surprisingly good Mexican food. "

" I'm Mexican, so I was very skeptic about this place. However, my wife and I went there to had lunch today. I have to accept that this guys serve a really nice TEX-MEX food (is not real Mexican). My wife had tacos (the soft tacos were good, but the hard-shell was just ok) and I tried the Fajita (good taste, but the tortillas should be heated). The staff was very friendly. So if you feel like having some kind of "Mexican" food (with an Indonesian touch) in Ubud, Taco Casa is the right place!
I would also add more salsas options. They just have one bottled salsa which is not good. "

We are in Bali for 2weeks and have shamelessly been back 4 times already just so we can try everything on the menu, which by the way, is the only thing wrong with this place is the limited menu options, but everything on this menu is presented so beautifully, I am drooling just thinking about it. Portions are ridiculously generous, they're definitely not stingy on the salsa, Guacamole and sour cream. The staff were amazing with our two kids, they have colouring pens and books ready to give them each time, my son spilt his drink which was embarrassing for me but they were so quick to clean it up and laughed it off that I felt at ease immediately. And your ladies are rude. They talk openly about customers. I was watching and listening to them. I didn't like what I heard. Finally over charging for extra lettuce or what ever when you round up when giving change. Sad. This one is just going after money now with very little care for quality or taste. Overrated. "

" We were here back in 2013. The food here was excellent. We came here for dinner and I had the beef fajitas with the corn tacos and my partner had the vegetarian 8 layer burrito. My partner is vegetarian so she was very happy that all the meals had a vegetarian option. Both of our meals were amazing. Service was very fast even when it was busy. The restaurant is very clean and you can see the chefs prepare your food with the open kitchen. Everybody here was very friendly and they try to make sure your meal is the best. If you are in Ubud you must stop for lunch or dinner. "
