I am raising my family here, and look forward to the day I can go surfing with my two sons! Every year I make new friends who come and stay with us, and I look forward to 2015 being no different. All the staff in our Surf Camp will take care of you like family and you will feel more like a friend rather than a client. I am Looking forward to your visit!
SURFING
Our Surfcamp is located in Medewi on the westcoast of Bali and is surrounded by beautiful ricefields, coconuthills and the indian ocean. Here you will find both in one spot: first class surfspots and beginner spot. Within a short distance our Surfguides can choose from more than 15 different surfspots, suitable for all kinds of surfer levels. There are Reef- and Beachbreaks, Right- and Lefthanders. In front of the camp you find the Sumbul Beachbreak with several A-Frame waves and just next to it breaks Indos longest Lefthander called Medewi Point. Due to the distance to busy Kuta (1.5h) our spots are less crowded and less ridden than the overloaded touristic areas of Balis south. You can also fill your time around Medewi by visiting the nearby National Nature Reserve of Bali, going on Vulcanotours, Bullraces in the next village, Hindu Temples in beautiful clifflocations or snorkeling in Menjangan Island.
DIRT BIKE
As you know our surfcamp is located in the front of the beach and at the back there are mountains and its really fun for dirt bike, We have exclusive access to private properties and some of the top class dirt bike trails, with a lot of technical single track as well as fast enduro section. More importantly, we are fully supported by the locals. Specialist dirt bike tours are led only by qualified Balinese and Indonesian dirt bike guides who expertly cater for all dirt bike riders from beginners to professionals. The beauty of nature, the many type of terrain, the easy to challenging trails, the hosptitality of rural villagers, their openness, their smile and our attention to details will ensure you to have a memorabledirt bike tour experience in Bali and beyond
YOGA
Practising yoga and learning to focus and balance will not only help your surfing. It will also increase your flexibility and strength. An example: sun salutations in yoga help you to get to your feet on your surfboard as the movement is similar to popping up in surfing. But yoga is not just about asanas (steady postures, both still and moving with the breath). It is also a metaphor for life. Yoga at Dikaloha Surfcamp is always a very special experience, particularly as there is almost no noise, no distractions. The yoga we practice is based on traditional Hatha yoga. Our instructors teach a variety of different styles to suit our surf and yoga program. In the morning there will be subtle stretching and movements to complement the day’s activities, helping you feel awakened, and uplifted, particularly from the slightly more dynamic Vinyasa flow. In the afternoon there’s a softer, restorative class that will leave you feeling rested and content at the end of each day.
RED ISLAND JAVA
Red Island (Pulau Merah) is an uncrowded surf spot, situated in Banyuwangi, East Java (close to Bali). Red Island is named after a mystical red mountain towering out of the ocean, right next to the break. Red Island is beautiful bay surrounded by mountains. It’s an ideal place to get away, relax and surf. Red Island is only a 4-hour drive from Bali. traveling there is no hassle at all. Red Island is the perfect spot to learn to surf and improve your surfing, offering uncrowded,sand-bottom fun waves. Nearby is the famous Alas Purwo National Park (G-land)- known for it’s variety in wildlife and world class consistent perfect waves. " Wow this place is beautiful. Most of the rooms have views overlooking the rice paddies and ocean and the photo beneath was right out on the balcony. Our room had an outdoor shower where you could see the Milky Way at night. The location is amazing and for the price it was 100% worth it.
19 September 2017The one thing I wanna mention is the mosquitos, BRING BUG SPRAY, because of the location there are bound to be many mosquitos and we got bitten quite a bit without the spray. "
