" The rooms look much better then they really are. There was no light on the stairs to my room, power outlets could not be reached due to furniture and there is no space to put anything down in the bathroom. Nom-indonesian part is minimal, especially when the toaster broke. And when a lot of people show up for breakfast at the same time it is hard to get any food. "

" I spent a whole week in this place, It is really nice and quite. The owner of this hotel is an friendly Australian guy, he also lived in this hotel and talked to us a lot. The only cons is this place is far away from the tourist attractions. "

" Beautiful location, excellent grounds and lovely rooms. Most importantly really excellent friendly staff. A very relaxing serene place and great value with lovely pools to lounge by. It's a short shuttle ride from Ubud , where I personally would not want to stay as it is a very busy place these days. It's not a party place but great for couples and families wanting some quiet time. "

" Amazing hotel in the midst of rice fields at the outskirts of Ubud. Spiritual atmosphere, panoramic view from the restaurant. Great food. Various villas available. Free shuttle to Ubud. Spa available. "

" We were on a package tour. Nice pkace on a bautifull environment between rice fields. Decent restaurant, too. Wich leads to only issue: the place is not witjin a walking distance from anuwhere. You need the restaurant or the- complimentary - coach service. "

" Located in the quaint town of Ubud, Bhanuswari is the go to for busy professionals who want to just chill. Surrounded by mountains and green paddy fields the beauty simply takes your breath away. A personal pool with each Villa is an added bonus! The workers are extremely polite and helpful. Greeting you with a smile they solve your problem quickly and easily making the stay truly memorable. However, the bathrooms are not very clean. There are absolutely no mirrors (in the room or bathroom). There are no rails to hang clothes or towels. There are not too many vegetarian options. Coffee and tea is not of the best quality and they provide no milk!!!!! All this putting a damper on what is otherwise perfect. "

" The setting of Bhanuswari Resort is beautiful, away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud, in amongst rice fields with so much peace and quiet. The facilities on the resort are lovely, 2 pools, both really relaxing and the smaller one has an infinity edge which is great for relaxing in and looking at the jungle.
11 April 2017The food in the restaurant is delicious and all the staff within the resort are so friendly and helpful! "

" I had a very bad experience with the owner of this resort, Mr Nyoman Suweta. He asked if I wanted to look at wood-carving in near-by Mas. We went to several wooding-carving shop and I bought 6 nice wood carving. I told them I could only buy them if he would mail them to the USA for me, since I was leaving the next day for Jakarta. He agreed to mail all 6 (small) wood-carving to me by Monday of the next week. I gave him $240 for shipping and insurance. He said this was enough money and he would ship the packages to me in the USA. This was about 3 months ago. I Emailed and asked to see the invoice to verify that the packages were mailed. He wrote pack and said the packages were mailed, but it would take 3 months before they arrived. He never sent me a copy of the shipping invoice. I still have not seen a copy of the shipping receipt. I wrote and asked again to see the shipping invoice, but he never answered my Email. He just wrote back to me and said the wood-carvings had been returned to him and he wanted another $200 to ship the packages. In other words, he is either trying to steal my wood-carving or he is extorting another (stealing) $200 from me for shipping. Do NOT trust this man. I was stupid in trusting him. I thought he was honest, but he is not. The hotel is far away from UBUD and it is difficult to get to the city. The breakfast was average and the hotel was nearly empty. I think people understand this is not a good place to stay. The only thing worse than an obvious thief is a thief who pretends to be nice, but then tries to pick your pocket. Give this place a miss. " As in many hotels around Ubud, Bhanuswari is surrounded by what makes Bali unlike anywhere else on Earth: Rice fields, temples, the din of insects, morning mist, a view across to a majestic volcano. One can take it all in under the gentle care of staff who are full of smiles and genuinely caring. But this hotel has obviously seen better days. The hotel itself lacks charm, and there is a general sense that a refurbishment has not happened in years. That makes the $75/night for a standard room feel excessive.
20 August 2012Bhanuswari may be located in 'nature', but this also changing, fast. To the South, a massive project is underway to raze ricefields all the way down to the river to make room for "high end villas". Before long, this haven of peace may be encircled by a sea of developments - and there will then be no reason to come anymore. "
