" The family that own this accommodation amazing. I feel almost like part of the family. They make you totally welcome and at home. They are great hosts. Sadly, since I was here 2 years ago there has been a change in the route that trucks from down below bring their loads of sand and rocks up the mountain. That has made a big increase in the traffic going past which has spoiled the peace and quiet. The views here are brilliant and for me the way I am made to feel at home more than makes up for the trucks. The accommodation is great value for money however. "

30 November 2017I barely slept due to the convoy of trucks moving earth from the batur crater up the ridge. They are right outside the room. And drive all through the night.
It was really cold, and there was no heating. Also no drinking water.
Free wifi was advertised but not working. From reviews I've read going back to February other people have had no wifi too.

" It's the best place to drop by for lunch or even just for tea-time when you visit kintamani. The scenery that you will see from this restaurant is quite wonderful. As for the accomodation itself, as long as you don't mind to the trucks that crossing the road very frequently which is noisy and dusty, BMV is a reasonable choice. Most of all, the crew there is trustworthy. I have proved it. "

25 October 2017The facilities were all too old and weary. No drinking water, No hot shower, and one of the staff was a pain in the ass.
I would recommend you NOT to stay here whatsoever. There are many homestays around. Lucky we spent only 1 night just for the Batur hike.
The only good thing was the breakfast and some of the staff were really helpful. "

" Well the view is nice. But you have to give up many other things like quietness. There is a mining place just downside of the hostel and trucks passing by with a lot of noise and dust all day long. Very dissappointed. Because I escaped from business of Ubud. A lesson I learned in Bali- you have to check before booking if there is noise around the place you stay. "

" Good hotel in Kintamani area in Bali.I have not stayed there but spent few hours and had lunch there.View of the mount Batur and lake from the hotel is spectacular.But the approaching road to the hotel is not in good shape.Many large vehicles carrying stones are continuously passing by the road making noise and dusty environment outside.This is a big negative point for the hotel.Food quality is good and also quantity wise.Staffs are friendly. "
